WHO WE ARE
El Paso Cares Corporation is a non-profit organization committed to providing therapeutic riding and equine therapy services to people with special needs, as well a anyone experiencing cognitive or emotional difficulties. El Paso Cares has been providing this service since 2014, and looks forward to continue helping families and individuals throughout South Florida
ACTIVITIES
THERAPIES
Interactions with horses can be restorative and healing. Having the opportunity to engage in activities, such as petting, grooming, bathing, haltering, leading, and riding horses has proven beneficial for emotional healing. Horses can be helpful for improving social-emotional functioning, self-esteem, problem-solving abilities, impulse control, self-control, empathy, stress tolerance, emotional awareness, trust, interpersonal relationships, and many more areas.
BE A VOLUNTEER
We depend on our volunteers to help care for the horses before, during, and after sessions. Volunteers help enforce the barn rules and keep everyone safe.
We can offer free riding lessons and community service hours. Our volunteers are important! Ask questions, give us feedback, and take pride in your work. We could not help our riders without your help!
